Digital Operations Assistant (Remote Contractor Role)

We’re on the hunt for a detail-driven, tech-savvy human who can help us keep our digital worlds running like a well-oiled machine.

The Counseling Hub* is hiring a Digital Operations Assistant — someone to support both our group practice and a separate consulting business (owned by the same person).

*While this position is paid and managed through The Counseling Hub for administrative purposes, your digital support work will span both organizations. Task direction will come from both our Hub Integrator (for practice-related work) and consulting owner (for podcast, content, and membership-related work).

This isn’t a center-stage position. It’s a “make things happen quietly and consistently behind the scenes” role. If you're the type of person to notice a broken link, fix it without fanfare, and update the SOP without needing to be asked, you’re in the right place.

This is a remote, contractor role starting at 10–15 hours per week with hourly pay at $18/hour. There's potential to grow over time based on consistency, task mastery, and capacity.

Why the Right Person Will Love Working With Us

  • Remote, flexible hours
  • Low-drama, low-meeting environment
  • Clear direction, clear systems, and real support
  • A team that values clarity, integrity, structure, and actual follow-through

What You’ll Be Doing

The Digital Operations Assistant will provide execution-focused support across both The Counseling Hub and a consulting brand owned by the same leadership. You'll handle tech, uploads, scheduling, and backend management — not content strategy or copywriting.

Tasks Include (but aren't limited to):

  • Podcast post-production (editing, uploading, scheduling, show notes, YouTube)
  • Maintaining digital resources in Circle and our professional development hub
  • Uploading and organizing mastermind and membership videos
  • Updating calendars, Zoom links, and digital workshop content
  • Formatting and scheduling newsletters in Kit (formerly ConvertKit)
  • Managing light website updates on Squarespace
  • Supporting live events or Q&As (uploads, links, follow-up)
  • Cross-posting or prepping light social content if needed

You Might Be Our Person If You…

  • Much prefer consistency and organization and feel mildly chaotic otherwise
  • Like being the one who “just gets it done”
  • Don’t need or want to be chased or micromanaged
  • Prefer being behind-the-scenes as opposed to client-facing or “the face” of a group
  • Can spot a missing link, broken embed, or half-finished folder and fix it
  • Love clarity, timelines, and making things smooth
  • Are familiar (and/or comfortable) with platforms like Squarespace, Kit, Descript, Transistor, Google Drive, and/or Circle (or are open to learning)

What This Role Is Not

  • High-level strategy or high levels of content development
  • Interfacing with clients or customers
  • Managing others or running launches

Hours, Pay, & Details

  • This is a 1099 contractor role, not a W2 employee position
  • $18/hour starting rate
  • Starting between 10–15 hours/week, with room to grow
  • Remote and flexible, but with intentional weekly check-ins and clear deadlines
  • No benefits or medical coverage, as this is not a W2 position

About The Counseling Hub

The Counseling Hub is a therapy practice with locations in Columbia, MO and Jefferson City, MO. We’re values-driven, irreverent, and deeply committed to high-quality care and people-first culture. Ownership also has a growing consulting brand focused on systems, leadership, and practice culture — and that’s where some of this role lives.

We’re casual but serious, sarcastic but grounded, and we’re unlikely to do performative behaviors for the sake or performativeness (is that a word?).  We care deeply about our team and are building systems that support long-term sustainability — not burnout.

If you love clean structure, efficient systems, and meaningful support work, this might be your jam.
