Virtual Certified Nurse Assistant - PRN/ Days

At ModRN Health, Virtual CNA is responsible for providing professional nursing care with collaboration from the bedside nurse through two-way audio/visual technology and performing assessments of vital signs and monitoring data through specialized software. The Virtual CNA position is a licensed nursing aid, who as an advanced clinician, functions at the highest level of proficiency. The Virtual CNA position provides professional nursing care to a diverse patient population and is considered an expert in their specialty. Besides collecting pertinent patient information, and maintenance of medical records, this position assists in coaching and mentoring department staff in areas of clinical and professional practice. Role modeling compassionate communication with nursing staff and the interprofessional health care team, the Virtual ICU CNA position assumes leadership responsibilities with high-level contributions at the bedside, unit, service line, and across the institution. Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to collecting vital signs and other pertinent patient information, documenting patient findings, reporting to nursing staff with critical patient information, and assisting with education.  

Job Duties: 

• Reports to nursing staff with critical patient information  
• Collaborate closely with nurses and other members of multidisciplinary team 
• Assists in maintenance of medical records 
• Assists with patient education  
• Assists in mentoring and coaching other clinicians in areas of clinical and professional practice 
• Respond to requests from “on the ground” care team 
  
  Job Requirements 

• Excellent communication skills  
• Current active license  
• BLS 
• 2 years experience in inpatient hospital setting 
• Reliable internet connection that supports video conferencing 
• Must have own computer or laptop device 
  
  Preferred: 

• Teaching hospital experience
