Position: Escrow Assistant (Focused on Closing Disclosures)

Assignment: ASAP Start - 5/8/2025 (Temp to Perm)

Location: Fully Remote

  • Candidates must reside in PST or CST time zones.
  • Shift hours fall between 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM PST.

Schedule Monday - Friday, Business Shift

Pay: $18 - $20 hourly, paid weekly.

Overview:

The Escrow Assistant plays a key role in supporting real estate closing processes, with a strong focus on Closing Disclosures (CDs), loan document preparation, notary scheduling, and client communication. This position typically operates within a branch or office environment, providing administrative and customer service support to the Escrow department. The role may support multiple team members or work directly alongside an Escrow Officer. Primary transaction types include REO purchases, residential refinances, assumptions, and general residential purchase and sale closings.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Demonstrates a solid working knowledge of core escrow responsibilities.
  • May require guidance from senior team members depending on task complexity.
  • Work is generally reviewed for accuracy on new or complex assignments.
  • Provides broad administrative and operational support within the escrow function.
  • Adheres to established procedures, troubleshoots issues as they arise, and contributes ideas for process improvements.
  • Perform a variety of administrative tasks to collect information and support all phases of the escrow process.
  • Open new escrow orders, enter data into closing statements, prepare transaction documents, and manage full disbursement and post-closing follow-up.
  • Communicate requirements, status updates, and critical information to clients and internal partners.
  • Review and interpret purchase agreements and related documents to ensure accurate preparation of all closing materials.
  • Support CD balancing, curative efforts, title clearing, and other transaction-specific needs as required.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years of escrow-related experience.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and experience using escrow/title production systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and a positive attitude in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
  • Curative and title clearing experience.
  • Ability to balance Closing Disclosures (CDs).

 

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

 

Working Conditions:

  • May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels, such as from office equipment.
  • The ability to lift up to 30lbs.
  • Use of computers and technology.
